List Matching
Do you wish or need to enhance your samples or lists by adding names and addresses
to phone numbers or phone numbers to names and addresses? ASDE can do both for you.
Telephone number addition
Sample lists can be greatly enhanced by appending the matching telephone numbers to the records. The completion rate of such a task varies between 40% and 80%, depending on the type of processing you choose and the quality and currency of your list. Because of spelling and other variables, list matching and enhancement can never be a complete success. We offer two main methods:
- Automatic matching
The automated method produces between 40% and 60% matching. Your list is run seven times through the system to look for matches on different combinations of fields and information.
- Manual matching
Your file first goes through the automated process. After this first phase, ASDE Survey Sampler employees will look up each record using a variety of pieces of information contained within the record provided. This ‘human judgment’ factor cannot be obtained by an automated system and means you can expect up to 80% matches.
Reverse Matching (Appending phone book information)
We can also append phone book listing details to any list of phone numbers. Each number is compared with an appropriate, recent electronic phone book database. If the information is available the following is appended to the record:
- Residential numbers: name, address, city or town, state or province, Zip or postal code.
- Business numbers: name, address,
city or town, state or
province, Zip or postal code and SIC codes.
